The Rehoboth Contra Dance is usually held on 2nd, 4th, and most 5th Fridays. During July and August, it is held on 2nd Fridays only. From I-95, take I-195 East to Exit 4 to Rt. 44 East (it winds around a lot) for about 15 minutes, turn right at Rt. 118 (stop light), go 1 mile, turn right at blinking yellow light. The hall is about one-half mile on the right. From I-195 West take Exit 3, left at Rt. 6 East, left at Rt. 118 (stop light), go about 7 miles (it winds around a lot too) to the blinking yellow light, turn left onto County Street. The hall is about one-half mile on the right.

Woods Hole Community Hall: Main Street, Woods Hole, just across the drawbridge.
Take Rt. 28S into Falmouth where Rt. 28 will turn left. Leave 28 and bear right at sign for Woods Hole. Continue straight for 3 miles to the drawbridge. Leave the parking problems behind: the WHOOSH trolley runs between the Falmouth Mall and Woods Hole every half hour June-August. Cost is $1 per trip. East Sandwich is about an hour south of Boston. From Exit 3 of the Mid Cape Highway (Route 6) go north on Quaker Meetinghouse Road for about a mile, until you reach Route 6A. Turn right on 6A and travel for one mile. Turn right on Old County Road (across from the East Sandwich Post Office). The Grange Hall is on the left a bit past the railroad tracks and next to the Benjamin Nye Homestead.

From Exit 9 of the Mid Cape Highway (Route 6), turn left (north) at end of exit, ramp onto 134, Travel 3 miles to 6A and turn left (west), Travel 2 miles on 6A to Dennis village. Turn left onto Old Bass River Rd., Carleton Hall is 200 yards on left, opposite Fire Station.

The Martha's Vineyard Country Dance Society hosts occasional contra dances at various locations on the island. All dances are taught, and no special talent is required. Beginners, singles, and families are welcome. Admission is $7.00; children and seniors $4.00.
