(Formerly known as the Stonington Contra
Dance)
The Mystic Contra Dance is the 2nd Saturday
of every month- Sept-May (someday we'll keep it going all summer long!) 8pm-11pm
A great mix of dancers from families
and little kids, to local students, and dancers still kicking it at 80! A very welcoming dance for beginners, you'll
find a lot of enthusiastic experienced dancers asking you to dance!
This dance takes place at the eastern
end of the famous Drawbridge in downtown Mystic, at the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Hall, 19 Cottrell St.. From
I-95, take Exit 90, Route 27 South, turn right onto Route 1. Turn left onto Cottrell St. IOOF Hall is on the left, about midway
down this short dead-end street, one doorway past the bar, across from the grassy waterside park. When you open the doorway
you'll immediately see a stairway leading you up to the second floor where the dance takes place. Plus you can hear
the music from the street!
The Drawbridge officially divides Mystic from Stonington, so technically this dance takes place
in Stonington, but most people consider Stonington as being further East. Whatever. Just go dance!

Stonington Grange, Stonington, CT
The Stonington Grange hosts the English Country Dance of Greater Mystic series. Dances are on third Saturdays, September
through May, from 7:30 - 10:30. From I-95, take Exit 91, follow Rt. 234 (Pequot Trail) East (toward Westerly, RI). The Grange
